Good governance of an NPO is vital because NPOs exist for the benefit of the community at large and are largely funded by donations.  As a Christian NPO we have a mandate to steward well all the resources we have, and provided services in a way that honours God.

 

Oversight is provided by a management board.

 

The responsibilities of the board include:​
 

• ensuring that projects and programs remain in line with the vision, mission and values

• raising awareness of the work of MercyAIDS

• raising prayer and practical support

• raising funds through donors and events

• ensuring accurate accounts of donations and expenditure are kept

• ensuring that annual reports are submitted to the DSD
