Fisantekraal Kids Clubs
Our desire is to create safe places where children can belong and begin to build resilience. Where the name of every child is known by a safe adult. Where, through free play, organised games, music & movement, and craft activities, we create opportunities for children to develop their emotional world and internal control, try out new things, apply and grow leadership skills. We encourage local adults and youth to become part of the facilitator team.
We currently run 3 types of kids clubs in the Multi-purpose centre.
Wednesday afternoons from 13:30 and Thursday afternoons from 15:30
For children from 6 years and older.
Weekly Kids Clubs
Monthly Super Saturdays
On the second Saturday of each month from 09:30
For children 4 years and up
This is a great opportunity for the older children from the weekly Kids Clubs to develop leadership skills
it is also a great opportunity for people outside of Fisantekraal to get involved.
The first week of the Winter school holidays
Running a club every morning for a week of the school holidays combines all the benefits of the weekly and monthly clubs and more. Having more time with the children each day and having a whole week with them opens the door to a whole different kind of program. We can have large group, team and small group games and activities. We can build on a teaching theme throughout the week. Groups are led by youth and older children from Fisantekraal working with children and youth from outside.
